User Roles and Permissions
Roles in the organization have different permissions that accommodate different organization member types.
An organization member can have one of these five roles within the organization:
- Administrators are allowed to access all finished projects from the organization and can edit them. They can also update organization configuration and add/remove users.
- Supervisors are allowed to access all finished projects from the organization and can edit them. They are also allowed to add/remove users.
- Users are allowed to see and take all unassigned projects, create and submit their own projects, and can only edit their own finished projects.
- Scanners are allowed to see and take all unassigned projects of the organization and create and submit their own. They can't see in the app or edit their finished projects.
- Limited Scanners are allowed to see and take all unassigned projects of the organization or ones assigned to them. They can create a project (offline) but can submit it only after reconciling with one that is assigned to them or unassigned (Available). They can't see in the app or edit their finished projects.
To change the role of a member, the Administrator or Supervisor should follow the next steps:
- Access www.insidemaps.com
- Log in with your credentials
- Open the main menu (by clicking on your name in the top right corner)
- Select My Organizations
- Click Organization Details
- Click on the Users tab
- Change the role of an account by clicking on the checkmark below the desired role
An member that doesn't have a checkmark defaults to the User role.
