Ricoh Theta Paso Double option: What Is it For & How to Use it?

Theta camera uses two lenses, each covering 180 degree field of view in order to compile spherical panorama. Capturing actives both lenses at the same time, often causing photographer being present in end result. Paso Double option is used to prevent people from being caught in final image by triggering two 360 degree captures per spin taken. Total of four half spherical images are combined and processed on the device resulting in clean, non-obstructed 360 image.

Below is a short tutorial on how to properly utilize this option:

1. Create a new room within the project and select the option to capture a spin
2. Select the Capture Paso Double option

3. During the first spin capture, you should remain stationary. Click Continue

4. Before starting the second capture, move to the opposite side of the camera and then capture another spin.

5. A final result will be shown so you can review and recapture if necessary
